Camp crests for sale!

The Sunken Lake Camp is a rustic camp, available for rental by youth groups and other interested parties. Facilities include the main lodge (electricity, wood heater, fridge, gas stove, running water, tables & chairs, outfitted kitchen) and four cabins (each cabin has bunks for 8, no electricity). The camp is conveniently located within a 15 minute drive of Wolfville and New Minas, on the South Mountain of the Annapolis Valley. The camp is operated by the Wolfville Boy Scout Association, and has been used by Scouting and other youth groups in Annapolis Valley, NS, since 1920.

Several day hikes can be made from various points around the lake. The lake has an interesting geological history.

The camp has been lucky to receive donations and grants from both private individuals and organizations. The donors who make the camp possible are now listed on a separate page.

Fall 2014: Headquarters cabin comes down with the help of members of the church of the latter day saints. We saved some of the boards, including one with text from Gerald Porter from 1933, the year the cabin was built.

Summer 2013: EKM Health Foundation donation allows the camp to install a dock and float. Youth enjoyed these all summer, especially diving off the float!!

July 2012: EKM Health Foundation donates money to purchase two new canoes and gear!

June 2012: EMK Health Foundation donation allows the camp to purchase 2 canoes and gear. THANK YOU, Eastern Kings Memorial Health Foundation!!

October 2011:

The Eastern Kings Memorial Health Foundation has made significant contributions to the camp in the last few years. Their generosity has enabled a new handwashing station (shown here), water purification, a new fireplace insert, and a new building around the washrooms.

June 2010:

Volunteers from Frito-Lay paint our lodge. It's looking great - thanks for lending a hand!!
